On September 28, 2024, at approximately 3:12 a.m., Franklin Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Dorchester Street in Franklin, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that had crashed into a house. Inside the vehicle, they found 37-year-old Davon Davis of Suffolk, Virginia, suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
