On August 5, 2023, 25-year-old Adrian NaBryce McCray was fatally shot outside the A&P Coastal Mart on Boulevard Road in Sumter, South Carolina. Police responded to the scene around 11 a.m. and found McCray lying on the ground with critical injuries. He was airlifted to Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, where he succumbed to his injuries later that day, surrounded by his family.
