Death by Force

On December 4, 2023, 21-year-old Devin Nickael Simon was fatally shot on Interstate 20 near Lugoff, South Carolina. The incident occurred between mile markers 88 and 89 in Kershaw County, as Simon and others were returning from an evening in Columbia. Law enforcement responded to reports of a vehicle speeding toward Camden, which ultimately arrived at a hospital with multiple occupants suffering from gunshot wounds. Simon, a resident of Lamar, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
