In the late afternoon of Friday, September 9, 2022, the life of 30-year-old Vance Lamar Fowler of Elgin, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. Deputies from the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Hallmark at Truesdell Apartments in Lugoff around 4:50 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Fowler, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
