On the evening of March 21, 2024, in Dillon, South Carolina, tragedy struck when Quentin Stafford Berry, a 38-year-old man from Hamer, was fatally shot. The Dillon County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 9:48 p.m. reporting gunfire on Amherst Court. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered Mr. Berry suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders to render aid, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
