In the early morning hours of Monday, November 3, 2025, the life of 52-year-old Burnie Ray Townsend was tragically cut short in a violent encounter in Dillon, South Carolina. Townsend, a familiar and beloved figure in his community, was at the 24 Hour Spot convenience store on Highway 301, a place he frequented.
