On April 28, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., Sumter Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire on Carver Street in Sumter, South Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Tijah Mauron Clarkson lying in the roadway. Tragically, Clarkson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sumter County Coroner’s Office.
