In the early morning hours of August 31, 2018, a dispute in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx turned fatal for 22-year-old Nicolas Vargas Jr. The young man, a resident of Manhattan and a father of two, was shot in the head while inside his black Honda near an IHOP restaurant at the corner of West 232nd Street and Broadway.
