On February 8, 1985, George Karras, a 44-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was tragically killed during a robbery at his home on Avenwood Court. As he attempted to escape, Karras was shot in the back with a high-caliber rifle, collapsing outside in the snow. The assailant fled the scene before authorities arrived, and despite ongoing investigation efforts, the case remains unsolved decades later.
