In the early hours of a spring morning in the Bronx, the life of Jonathan Maldonado, a 34-year-old Hispanic male, was cut short by gunfire. On April 22, 2022, at approximately 1:28 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a man shot near the corner of East Gun Hill Road and Webster Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Maldonado unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
