In the late hours of an autumn evening in the Bronx, the life of 23-year-old Aaron Santiago was tragically cut short. On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at approximately 11:40 PM, a 911 call reported a shooting in the Highbridge neighborhood. Police from the 44th Precinct responded to the scene in front of 1130 Anderson Avenue, near West 166th Street, where they discovered Santiago unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head.
