In the spring of 2020, Najai Nigel Sow, a 35-year-old man from the Bronx, was a familiar and positive presence in his Longwood neighborhood. Known for helping neighbors' children with their homework, he was also a father and an aspiring figure in the local rap scene, having started his own music label.
