On the afternoon of March 20, 2025, 32-year-old African American male Xavier Goodson was fatally shot inside his residence at 1101 East 231st Street in the Edenwald section of the Bronx, New York. Responding to a 911 call at approximately 4:05 p.m., officers from the NYPD's 47th Precinct discovered Goodson unconscious and unresponsive, having sustained gunshot wounds to both his head and abdomen.
