A joyous family celebration turned into a scene of tragedy in the Bronx, leaving a devoted grandfather dead. Edgar Perez, a 46-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of August 25, 2019. The incident occurred outside the Church of the Holy Nativity on Bainbridge Avenue, where Perez was celebrating the baptism of his granddaughters.
