Timothy Philbeck, age 61, male, left home on the evening of August 22, 2025, to help a friend whose vehicle was stuck off Goble Street near Huffman Road, just south of Gastonia. As the two men struggled to free the vehicle along the wooded trail, gunfire erupted. One bullet struck Timothy Philbeck, age 61, male, and he never made it home.
