On October 1, 2023, Cleveland Smith, a 35-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. near East 175th Street and the Grand Concourse in the Mount Hope neighborhood. Smith was reportedly pursued by two individuals riding a scooter.
