In the early morning hours of December 26, 2022, the life of 26-year-old Carlos Gonzalez was tragically cut short in the Crotona neighborhood of the Bronx. Gonzalez, a Black male from the Foxhurst section of the South Bronx, was found unconscious and unresponsive near the intersection of East Tremont and Marmion Avenues at approximately 4:05 a.m. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Emergency medical services rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
