On December 26, 2022, Carlos Gonzalez, a 26-year-old Black male from the Bronx, New York, was fatally shot in the early morning hours. The incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. near the intersection of East Tremont and Marmion Avenues in the Crotona neighborhood. Upon arrival, police found Carlos Gonzalez unconscious and unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
