In the early morning hours in the Bronx, a heated argument shattered the quiet of a Morrisania street. The dispute was between 31-year-old Marquis Lane and his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Ward, the mother of his young son. Tragically, their two-year-old child was present to witness the events that followed. As the argument escalated, another man, Aaron Rene, the 30-year-old boyfriend of Ward, allegedly intervened, not with words, but with a firearm.
