In what detectives investigated as a possible road rage incident, 24-year-old Nelson Caban was shot and killed on the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx on the night of March 30, 2021. The male victim was driving his Honda Accord southbound on Interstate 95 when a blue sedan pulled up alongside him. An individual inside the sedan opened fire, striking Caban in the face and chest.
