In the evening hours of August 24, 2022, tragedy struck in the Morrisania section of the Bronx. Aris Wimbush, a 38-year-old male, was inside the Morrisania Air Rights NYCHA development at 3073 Park Avenue when the sound of gunshots echoed through the building. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 9:30 p.m. to find a grim scene.
