Nestor Ventura, a 26-year-old father from the Bronx, was tragically shot to death on August 18, 2019. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3:50 a.m., in the courtyard of the Academy Gardens complex on Commonwealth Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood.
