On the evening of April 12, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the relative quiet at the corner of East 180th Street and Mohegan Avenue in the Crotona neighborhood of the Bronx. When officers from the 48th Precinct arrived around 7:43 p.m., they found a chaotic scene with three men suffering from gunshot wounds.
