In the early morning hours, the Mott Haven section of the Bronx was shattered by gunfire that ended the life of a 28-year-old man. Kevin Thomas was discovered outside the Mott Haven Houses on East 143rd Street with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Emergency services rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
