On the evening of May 31, 2023, 21-year-old Bronx resident Antoine Strong was fatally shot in front of 1382 College Avenue in the Claremont section of the Bronx. At approximately 10 p.m., Strong was approached by three individuals on bicycles; one of them fired three rounds, striking him in the stomach. Emergency responders transported Strong to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 1 a.m.
