Cory Mitchell, a 32-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York, tragically lost his life on May 11, 2019. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:32 a.m., when police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the rear of 932 East 224th Street in the Edenwald section of the Bronx. Upon arrival, officers found Mitchell lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his head. Despite being rushed to Jacobi Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
