On a spring afternoon in the Bronx, the life of 30-year-old Robert Corbett was violently cut short. On April 15, 2014, just before noon, Corbett was shot multiple times in his torso on a street near Crotona Park East. The attack happened at 2375 Southern Blvd., a location only about a mile from his own home. Responders rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead approximately half an hour after the shooting.
