Ricardo Bygrave, a 22-year-old man, was shot and killed on the night of April 2, 2026, in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx. The shooting unfolded outside a deli on Bronxwood Avenue near East 217th Street, only steps from where he lived. Police and emergency responders arrived shortly before 9:30 p.m. and found Bygrave suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition, but he did not survive.
