On the night of April 24, 2021, Jameik Bishop, an 18-year-old male, was ambushed on the stoop of his home in the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx. Around 11 p.m., as he sat outside his residence on East 225th Street near Bronxwood Avenue, a shooter opened fire, striking him multiple times in the face, chest, and right shoulder. Neighbors reported hearing the gunshots and Bishop's cries for his mother as he tried to get back inside his house.
