A promising life was cut short on a Saturday night in the Bronx. On May 14, 2022, Kashmere Davis, a 27-year-old male, found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. At approximately 10:25 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the evening calm at 473 E. 146th Street. When police arrived at the scene following a 911 call, they discovered a grim reality. Davis was lying unconscious and unresponsive, having sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest.
