On a summer afternoon in the Bronx, the life of 37-year-old Victor Fertides was brought to a violent and sudden end. On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 2:21 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the daily rhythm of the Highbridge neighborhood. Police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in front of 1404 Ogden Avenue, where they discovered Fertides suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He had been shot twice in the torso and once in the right leg.
