On September 1, 2022, Sydi Bayo, a 21-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM in the vicinity of Valentine Avenue and East 178th Street. Responding to a 911 call, police officers found Bayo unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his body.
