On a late summer afternoon in the Bronx, a family's world was irrevocably shattered. Sydi Bayo, a 21-year-old male of Gambian descent, was fatally shot on September 1, 2022. The incident occurred at approximately 4:00 PM in an apartment on Valentine Avenue, near East 178th Street. Bayo, who worked as an Uber Eats delivery person, was visiting a friend's home at the time.
