In the early morning hours of July 25, 2021, a tragic event unfolded on a street in the Bronx. Anthony Rios, a 38-year-old Hispanic male, was sitting in the passenger seat of his friend's Honda opposite 589 E. 164th Street. At approximately 2:28 a.m., an unidentified man approached the vehicle and fired multiple shots, striking Rios in the head. He was privately transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The incident occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct.
