Jaceil Banks, 32, a Black male, was shot and killed on the evening of August 23, 2025, during a community basketball tournament at Haffen Park in the Baychester section of the Bronx. Gunfire erupted around 7:30 p.m., scattering players and families as detectives later marked more than 40 evidence points around the court and adjoining path.
