In the Bronx, a 17-year-old male named Jason Perez was fatally shot on the evening of Tuesday, May 10, 2022. The incident occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. near the corner of West 170th Street and Ogden Avenue. According to police reports, the teenager was ambushed by a group of five individuals. The assailants reportedly followed Perez out of the Big Sal Deli and Grocery before confronting him.
The altercation escalated quickly, with one of the suspects punching Perez in the face
before shots were fired. He sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
