On the evening of July 3, 2024, Jonathan Cameron, a 30-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York, was fatally shot near the intersection of Loring Place and Burnside Avenue in the University Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred around 9:59 p.m., when police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers discovered Cameron with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
