On the evening of July 3, 2024, a dispute in the Bronx neighborhood of University Heights turned deadly, claiming the life of 30-year-old Jonathan Cameron. The male resident was shot multiple times just a short distance from his Sedgwick Avenue home, near the corner of Loring Place and West Burnside Avenue. The fatal encounter unfolded around 9:59 p.m., when police received a 911 call about an assault in progress.
