In the Bronx, a gathering took a tragic turn, ending the life of a young man and leaving another wounded. On the evening of Saturday, September 14, 2024, thirty-one-year-old Sakou Saho was shot and killed. The incident occurred at approximately 9:36 p.m. near Sheridan Avenue and McClellan Street in the Concourse Village neighborhood. Police responded to a report of a person shot and, upon arrival, discovered Mr.
Saho with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
Emergency medical services transported the male victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased. A second victim, a 49-year-old man, was also found at the scene with a graze wound to his stomach. He was taken to the same hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
The shooting is believed to have possibly occurred during a party. As of the initial reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released any information regarding a suspect or suspects. The New York Police Department has asked for the public's assistance, encouraging anyone with information to contact their Crime Stoppers hotline.
