On July 26, 2020, Juan Carlos Ortega, a 24-year-old mechanic from Perth Amboy, New Jersey, was tragically shot and killed in the Bronx, New York. The incident occurred around 5:42 a.m. near Grote Street and Prospect Avenue in the Belmont neighborhood. According to reports, police responded to a 911 call about an assault in progress.
