On a Tuesday evening in the Bronx, the life of 21-year-old Yunior Marquez was tragically cut short. On September 27, 2016, in the Morton Playground located in the Morris Heights neighborhood, Marquez was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Emergency responders found Marquez with a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. At the time, police sources indicated that the shooting was possibly gang-related, a detail that cast a grim shadow ...
