Lamar Moorer, a 23-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York, tragically lost his life on August 26, 2015. The incident occurred on E. Burnside Avenue near Ryer Avenue in the West Bronx. According to reports, Moorer was involved in a quarrel with another man. The altercation escalated when the other individual left the scene, only to return shortly after and fatally shoot Moorer. The shooting left the community in shock and prompted an immediate investigation by the NYPD.
