On a late evening in the Bronx, 56-year-old Kevin Roberts, a Black male, was fatally shot multiple times in the torso. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on June 19, 2023, outside an apartment building located at 976 Simpson Street in the Longwood section of the borough. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene and transported Roberts to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.
