On June 9, 2024, at approximately 5:37 p.m., 29-year-old Kelvin Sims was fatally shot near the intersection of Sacket Avenue and Williamsbridge Road in the Morris Park neighborhood of the Bronx. Responding officers from the 49th Precinct found Sims with gunshot wounds to his head and chest. Emergency Medical Services transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.
