On June 19, 2018, 22-year-old Jose Velez was tragically shot and killed in the Bronx, New York. The incident occurred while Velez was sitting in his car on Van Nest Avenue and Unionport Road. According to reports, Velez was approached by Thomas Bowles, a former friend and roommate, who initiated an argument.
