Juan Andino, a 39-year-old police officer with the New York City Police Department, tragically lost his life on June 15, 1984, in the Bronx, New York. Officer Andino was on foot patrol on Third Avenue near 149th Street when he was approached by a shopkeeper who reported a theft.
