Jamel Shuler, a 24-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York, tragically lost his life on September 23, 2021. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2 a.m., when police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in front of 730 E. 165th Street, near the Forest Houses. Upon arrival, officers found Shuler with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was immediately transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was later pronounced dead.
