In the Bronx, a dispute that began inside a deli escalated to a fatal encounter on the night of September 24, 2018, claiming the life of 46-year-old Sylvester Paul. The altercation started at approximately 10:30 p.m. inside a deli on East Gun Hill Road, where Paul and another man, identified by police as 38-year-old Tony Clark, were involved in a physical fight.
