Death by Force

Jeremiah Griffiths, 18, a Black male, was shot in the head just after 2:30 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025, along Myrtle Avenue near Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Surveillance video described by reporters showed a white car pull up and stop before Griffiths collapsed to the ground. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition; police and subsequent coverage confirmed that he died from his injuries later that week.
