In the late hours of a summer night in the Bronx, tragedy befell 31-year-old Jamarr Vestal, a Black/African American man whose life was cut short by gunfire on August 15, 2019. The incident occurred near the Horseshoe Playground on Hall Place, a place meant for recreation and community, but which on this night became a scene of violence.
