A summer evening water gun fight in a Bronx park took a tragic and fatal turn, ending the life of 17-year-old Darrell Harris on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The seemingly innocent pastime among a group of teenagers in Starlight Park escalated into a deadly confrontation. Witnesses reported that the playful atmosphere soured when Harris asked another participant to stop repeatedly spraying him with a water gun.
