On July 5, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., an 18-year-old named Moise Figueroa was fatally shot in the leg near 2256 Morris Avenue in the Fordham Heights neighborhood of the Bronx. A 19-year-old male was also injured in the incident but is expected to survive. Both victims were transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where Figueroa was pronounced dead.
