David Suro, a 49-year-old taxi driver from the Bronx, New York, met a tragic end on December 19, 1956. On that fateful evening, Suro was driving a taxi with three passengers: Leroy Keith, a fugitive wanted for a murder in Akron, Ohio, and two women. As they traveled through the Bronx, Keith pulled a gun on Suro. In a desperate attempt to seek help, Suro deliberately crashed his taxi into a parked police cruiser.
